Our Staff and Story
Your pet’s lifetime care is a responsibility and at the time of death, there is the same responsibility to properly care for your pet. Remembering the years of love and care given to our pets and the lifetime of companionship and devotion returned, we cherish their memories long after their brief lives have ended.

Wanda Akers has been assisting pet owners since Adored Pets Crematory opened in 2000. Wanda has many pets of her own including three cats she “adopted” and describes herself as a huge pet lover and pet advocate. Wanda donates both her time and efforts to the Carter County Humane Society, Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter, and People United for Animals of Bristol, Virginia. When asked about her work at Adored Pets Crematory, Wanda responds by saying “It is where I am meant to be. I get a personal satisfaction from helping grieving pet owners unlike anything else I have ever done”.
